Peter Solecki holds degrees from Immaculata University (BM, Music Education) and University of Delaware (MM, Choral Conducting). In 2021, Mr. Solecki was fortunate enough to return to his home state of New Jersey where he the Director of Music Ministry at St. Vincent Martyr Catholic Church in Madison, NJ. There, he oversees a large, comprehensive liturgical music program consisting of a Parish Choir, Chamber Choir, Contemporary Ensemble, Children's Choir, and Handbell Choir.
Prior to St. Vincent Martyr, Peter was Director of Choral Activities at Elkton High School in Elkton, MD, where he directed five choirs as well as taught four levels of Music Keyboarding. Choirs under Mr. Solecki's direction held and active performance schedule and annually received overall superior ratings at District and State Choral Festivals.
An active presenter, Mr. Solecki holds professional membership in and is an active member of the American Choral Director's Association, the National Association for Music Education, the American Guild of Organists, and the National Association of Pastoral Musicians. Most recently Mr. Solecki presented a session on flexible lessons for the secondary choral classroom (DMEA, 2021). Previous presentations include sessions on creative programming for high school choirs at both 2019 Pennsylvania District XII Fall In-Service and 2018 Delaware Arts Conference. Mr. Solecki was also co-chair for presenters for the 2019 Voices United Conference, a summer conference for choral directors from Delaware, Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C..

As an educator Mr. Solecki has taught private piano, voice, and music theory lessons to students of all ages for over fifteen years. Classically trained for over a decade, Mr. Solecki began playing jazz piano as well as accompanying weekly Masses at his church while in high school. While studying for his undergraduate degree, Mr. Solecki was fortunate enough to play at various jazz clubs, churches, and other venues throughout the greater Philadelphia region. Teaching is one of Mr. Solecki's greatest passions and he enjoys seeing his students excited as they learn and grow in their own musical journeys.
Mr. Solecki lives in New Jersey with his wife, Ashley, sons, Luke, Mark, and Zachary, and dog, Jersey!
