Mr. Solecki has more than fifteen years' experience teaching piano, voice, music theory, ear training, and choir to students of all ages and skill levels.
After begin piano study at the age of seven, Mr. Solecki studied piano privately for more than fifteen years. Instructors include Dr. William Carr, DMA and Steinway Artist, and Irene McCormick. Mr. Solecki has studied and teaches most styles of piano, from classical to jazz, from improvisation to liturgical music. For more information on Mr. Solecki's musical background click here.
So that students can receive the time and attention they deserve, a limited number of students are accepted into the studio. Lessons are currently offered at St. Vincent Martyr Church, Madison, NJ, in the rectory Music Ministry office. Mr. Solecki offers thirty minute lessons at a rate of $30/lesson.
Students are met where they are in their musical journey and age and skill-appropriate music is taught. All students will be challenged to grow and develop into intuitive musicians while fostering a love of music and the instrument. With years of music theory teaching experience, Mr. Solecki will not only teach how to play piano but also will include age-appropriate music theory in the lesson.
Students who express a desire to play in church will have an opportunity to provide appropriate prelude music at the 9:00am Family Mass throughout the year, as a way to foster stewardship and of giving back to the church.
